There are sure going to be some disappointed country music fans in Houston on Friday night (Sept. 9), as Brantley Gilbert's Take It Outside Tour date that was scheduled at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has been canceled.

The promoter, Live Nation, released a brief statement on Thursday (Sept. 8), stating that the show was canceled, but offering little in the way of explanation:

Live Nation announced today that due to unforeseen circumstances, The Take It Outside Tour concert with Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore and Colt Ford at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Presented By Huntsman scheduled for Friday, September 9th has been cancelled.

According to a statement on the venue's website, "Tickets purchased through the internet will be refunded automatically, all other refunds will be available at original point of purchase."

None of the artists have commented on the cancellation via social media, and there has been no further explanation from any of their representatives. A representative for the venue directed Taste of Country to the statement on the website when reached by phone, offering no further information.

The Take It Outside Tour launched on June 2 in Massachusetts and is set to hit Dallas on Saturday (Sept. 10) before taking a break. The trek is set to resume in Utah on Oct. 13 before wrapping with back-to-back nights at Red Rocks in Colorado on Oct. 14-15.
