Big Loud Records Is Coming To Texas
According to CBS News, a new record label with a Texas sound is being launched in Nashville. It involves two great Texas artists, Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall.
Big Loud Records in Nashville is the home to country stars Morgan Wallen, Hardy, and Ernest, among other talented artists. They decided to head west to Texas with the help of Texas natives Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall.
Texas is home to and the birthplace of many musical greats, including George Strait, Beyonce, George Jones, Selina, Willie Nelson, Cody Johnson, and many more. The music scene in Texas is rich in history but has never had a significant presence in Twang Town, Tennessee, outside of the artists who hail from the state.
In the mid-nineties, a Nashville label tried starting its version of a Texas brand with Arista-Texas, but it was short-lived. This time, it might be different. Miranda Lambert is a force in the country genre, and Jon Randall has been a singer-songwriter in Nashville for many years. Combine both Texan's talents, and you have a recipe for success.
The music scene is fertile with musical talent and not just country music, so Big Loud Texas is expected to not just focus on the country genre. Expect the label to bring on artists from other genres like Tejano, Rap, Pop, and Rock.
While the label has roots in Nashville, it has been a leader in bringing a new sound to the country format. Its roster of talent is pushing the edge of what the country is today. The label has a record of success so far and will hopefully expand the options for talented musical artists in Texas.
