We're going BIG this year for Boss's Day with Baskets and Booze but we need YOU. If you think you've got the best boss in the Crossroads let all of Victoria know by nominating them for our Best Boss Basket which includes all kinds of yummy snacks and libations to boot brought to you by our friends at McAdam's Floral located at 1107 E Red River St.

So where did Boss's Day get its start anyway?

Well, you might be surprised to know a boss didn't think up bosses day, an employee did!  And not just any employee. It was the boss's daughter!

In fact, it all started in 1958 when Patricia Bays Haroski, an employee at State Farm Insurance Company in Deerfield Illinois registered for the official holiday with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a way to celebrate her great boss that just happened to be her dad. Hey don't laugh, if you've ever worked for your family, you know it can be especially difficult!

Well, Patricia must have really thought a lot of her Boss Dad as she even registered the date for National Boss's Day in honor of her father's birthday on October 16th. Patricia thought her boss was " exemplary."

If you think your boss is exemplary too, let us know all about them!

We'll be taking nominations from September 30th until October 14th and plan to announce the BEST Boss Winners - yep- more than one Best Boss will be winning one of our Big Baskets- starting October 12th.

So, show your appreciation for all the hard work your boss does, and hey maybe even score extra brownie points ( well, it can't hurt!) by NOMINATING THEM TODAY.

Fill out the form below. It's easy!

A special thanks to Mc Adams Floral, Victoria's PREMIER flower shop for sponsoring these great snacks and beer baskets PERFECT FOR BOSSES on Boss's Day.

Good luck to ALL of our GREAT Crossroads Bosses!
