Be Prepared to Wait for Valentines Day
For those of you who don't know, Valentines Day is the second busiest day of the year for restaurants. The busiest is Mothers Day. So when you head out for dinner tomorrow, EXPECT long waits. It is not uncommon to wait more than an hour on these busy days. Tips to help you out this weekend: driving around town for 45 minutes to find a shorter wait will cost you more time in the long run. Remember....it's a busy day for everyone. It will probably take longer for you food to come out of the kitchen. If it takes a while for your food to come out of the kitchen, that has NOTHING to do with your server. As long as your server is attentive and accommodating, they are still doing their job. Tip your servers accordingly, 15-20% is customary for good service. Even more for great service. Remember it's Valentines day for everyone. The restaurant staff has postponed their celebration with loved ones to make your Valentines Day memorable!
