Bastrop Music Fest Is Back This Weekend!
A lot music festivals are starting to comeback (or tried to comeback) since the vaccine hit. As you may know, Austin City Limits will commence next month. To make it happen, Austin Public Health and organizers are making it mandatory to wear masks in the parts of Zilker Park where it's highly populated. Also, the entrance (and possible lines), the merch stop, shuttle buses and spots near the stage. In case you forget your mask, organizers say they'll be available at the every entrance.
This weekend's festival is a different story. The Bastrop Music Festival got off to a good start in 2018, but in 2020 it was shut down due to the pandemic. This year - it's back - no streaming needed - The Bastrop Music Festival is live and in person. This is technically the third year of the four day event. 40 acts will grace multiple stages at different venues in Bastrop. According to the folks putting it on masks are optional and no vaccination cards are needed to get in. Neighbor's Kitchen and Yard will serve as the main stage for acts. The festival begins on Thursday (9/23/21) and runs through Sunday (9/26/21). Here's some of the acts for all of you making the trek to B-town (not sure if that's an official nickname, but it sounds cool)...Shiny Ribs, The Taylor Young Band, Dirty River Boys, The Peterson Brothers, Beat Root Revival, The Band of Heathens, Deezie Brown, Pat Byrne, The Texas Tycoons, Sour Bridges, The Selfless Lovers, Pauline Reese, David Beck's Tejano Weekend, Jordan Matthew Young, Shelley King, Jomo & The Possum Posse, Tomar & the FCs, Left Arm Tan, Chubby Knuckle Choir, Kevin Anthony & G Town, Armadillo Road, Georgia Parker Swing Band, Phil Hurley, Graham Wilkinson, Suzanna Choffel, Murray Sochat and the Special 20s, Donovan Keith and Libby Koch.
