The City of Victoria Celebrates ‘America 250’ With Parade And Fireworks

(VICTORIA, Tx) - Not only is the Fourth of July on a Saturday this year, but it's also America's 250th birthday. The City of Victoria Parks & Recreation and Discover Victoria will be celebrating the  Fourth of July with the City’s traditional fireworks spectacle, plus a special parade and more, in honor of America’s 250th.

The Fourth of July festivities start on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.

The public is invited to show their red, white, and blue spirit at the America 250 Parade at 10 a.m. July 4 in downtown Victoria.
The morning will start out with the national anthem by Tertia Cain, local vocal artist and Cuero High School choir director. The parade will proceed along Main Street and Bridge Street (between Goodwin Avenue and Church Street).

Enjoy performances from the Sons of the American Revolution that will give a historical feel to the event. The Daughters of the American Revolution will also dedicate the “America 250 Patriots Plaque” at De Leon Plaza.

America 250 Blastoff Fireworks Celebration

The America 250 Blastoff Celebration, presented by Del Papa Distributing Co., will kick off at 5 p.m. July 4 at the Gary Moses Community Center with live music, inflatables, and food trucks. Ice chests are not allowed. Kids can enjoy giveaways from Discover Victoria, Texas, while supplies last.

Scheduled to perform on the 4th of July.

• Logan Gisler & the Well Diggers (5 p.m.)
• The Crowbars Band (6:30 p.m.)
• LC Rocks (8 p.m.)

The fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Both of these events are free!
