Governor Greg Abbot has made a very loud statement about vaccine mandates in the State of Texas!  Abbott has issued an executive order on Monday that would ban "any entity" in the state from enforcing a vaccine mandate. Previously, Abbott issued orders banning government officials and entities from instating mask mandates.

This executive order comes a month after President Biden announced vaccines measures last month that requires all federal workers and contractors to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Furthermore, the President also announced that the Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration would develop a rule mandating that all employers with 100 or more employees either require vaccinations or make unvaccinated workers show a negative test once per week. It is not yet clear when the OSHA rule will be implemented.
