How A Texas Woman Used A Dead Person's ID For Gambling

A woman in Texas has confessed to using a dead man's ID in a gambling ring in Raymondville. The 53-year-old woman, Dominga “Penny” Ledesma, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for her part in a scheme with a machine called 8-liners. Dominga claims she was forced to plead guilty.

Dominga claims that she was "pressured into pleading guilty" after spendingover an hour with federal prosecutors. She confessed to the crime in 2023, and remains on bond till August 15 of this year. She has till then to surrender herself to U.S Marshals to begin her sentence.
