As part of Tuesday's meeting with the Office of Emergency Management, the Victoria County Public Health Department has announced 7 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Victoria County.

Clarification was given during today's meeting about an individual who was counted in Victoria County's total number of positive cases but that person technically lives in Goliad County and has been removed from the Victoria County list. This brings the total number of cases in Victoria County to 15. That number is expected to continue to climb. Crossroadstoday.com published details about the positive cases below.

  • A female in his 50’s
  • A female in his 40’s
  • A male in his 50’s
  • A female in her 40’s
  • A female in her 70’s
  • A female in her 30’s

As you can imagine, a ton of work is being done to figure out who these individuals have been in contact with and the places they may have visited while carrying the virus. Anyone who may have been in contact with these individuals will be contacted by VCPHD workers.

The CDC reports mild symptoms to severe illness associated with COVID-19. Fever, cough, shortness of breath may all be signs of infection within 2 to 14 days after being exposed to the virus.
