Loads of activities this weekend in Victoria and the surrounding area.

Scott Taylor Band tonight at Schroeder Hall.  The doors open at 8 and only $10 at the door.  Don’t miss this concert as their new cd is awesome.  The song “Just a Little Rain Coming Down” is currently 47 on the Texas Music Chart and climbing.  Also a big congratulations to Scott Taylor as he welcomed a new addition to his family this week.  Kendley Ann was born!!!! 8lbs. 9oz.   Congratulations Scott!!!

Fiddlers Frolics and Songwriters Serenade is going on this weekend in Halletsville.  Awesome music too featuring Waylon Thibodeaux, Joey Riley, Bonnie Riley, Kyle Park, Los Kolaches, Tim Hall Band, and more.  Like I said some awesome music, some great food and cook-offs.  In fact, it’s a Texas State Championship Barbecue Cook-off.  Judging will include, sausage, jackpot beans, grilled beef steak, gumbo, chicken, pork ribs, brisket, and sauce.  For more info click here

Head to Shoppa’s Farm Supply tomorrow from 11-1. Joe Bob will be out there talking about the Big John Deere Super Tent Sale! You can sign up to win a John Deere mower or gas grill. Located at Highway 59 just a half a mile east of loop 463.

From 11-2 at Northside Pet, Ranch, and Garden center Crossroads Pet and Rescue will be there with the Easter Bunny!  They will have pictures with the Easter Bunny as well as bunny races, where you bring your own bunny.  Also don’t forget to bring a basket as they will also be having an Easter Egg Hunt with games and prizes.  At 1 Reyna with performing K-9 Biscuit Eaters will be there.

How about some music to listen to Saturday afternoon?  Clay Crockett will be at Chick-fil-A in front of HEB Plus on N. Navarro from 3-5. It will be for the First Annual Chick fil A Younglife 5k! So lace up those running shows, bring your herd and join those crazy CHick fil A Cows on Saturday APril 30th 8am at Riverside Park. Kickoff Party this Saturday from 3-5 at Chick fil A on Navarro. SPonsored by Interstate Batteries Clay Crockett will be playing Saturday at Chick fil A so come in and register for the 5k and get a free meal from Chick fil A and a free spalshway pass. I will be there from 2-4 talking about the event.

Shady Oaks Speedway is starting up again with fun on the weekends.  Saturday night at 7 will be go karts for kids and ministocks after.  Anybody from Cuero that goes will get in for free with ID.

Get set up for this weekend’s Atzenhoffer Edna PRCA Pro Rodeo!!! Hope you can join everyone for some great rodeo action! This Fri. and Sat. at 7:30 the Atzenhoffer Edna PRCA Rodeo benefiting Jackson Co. Youth Rodeo! Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 3-12! Muttin Bustin and a Calf Scramble too!
