Watch me wipeout

Back in the beginning of May I participated in a Soap Box Derby Race in Riverside Park.  It was an Idle Free Jamboree hosted by Victoria Environmental Services and let me tell you it was so much fun.  There were many kids there with their own creative race cars and they were pretty impressive.  We sure do have a lot of talented kids in this area.

I was part of the first race against Darrel Lesak and he kicked my butt.  I actually wiped out pretty good at the beginning.  I turned way too fast which is something you don't want to do in a soap box car.  I got right back up though and finished the race like a champ.  I didn't feel ashamed either because others wiped out as well.
