If you are looking for some exercise and a little friendly competition, the Victoria Parks and Recreation Department may have just what you're looking for.

The city of Victoria Parks and Recreation Department offers adult softball and kickball leagues during three different seasons. The seasons are offered in the summer, fall and spring.

Softball and kickball both have a competitive league and recreational league, says the Victoria Advocate. The competitive league is offered for those looking for a challenge, and to compete against others. In the competitive league a team cannot exceed five home runs, and there is no run cap. The recreational league is offered for those wanting to play for fun and enjoy the company of teammates. The recreational league has a one home run limit, and teams can score a maximum of five runs in an inning.

Softball is also offered for co-ed players and are played under the competitive rules.

Fees for softball and kickball are $300 per team for a 10-game guarantee season. The top four teams in each division advance to play in a single-loss elimination tournament. First and second place teams receive an award package following the tournament. All of the games are played at the Adult Sports Complex, 510 Proctor. Men's softball is played on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Co-ed is played on Tuesdays only. Kickball is offered on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Registration for the fall season begins at 5 p.m. Aug. 13, and ends Sept. 7.
