In District 27-5A High School Baseball, finishing as the outright champion is pretty spectacular. That's how the Victoria East Titans did it this season, compiling a record of 21-19 overall, 10-2 in district play. Key to their success were senior pitcher Brennan Smith and head coach Wes Kolle.

Smith was named Most Valuable Player of the All-District Team, and Coach Kolle was named Coach of the Year.

Smith finished the season with an ERA of only 2.17, and he struck out 86 batters in 71 innings of play.

Coach Kolle has had his team in the playoffs every year since he started.

Victoria East did well this year with a total of 6 first-team selections, while Victoria West and Calhoun each had one.
