Victoria East Advances in Playoffs with 56-13 Win

The Titans of Victoria East High School took another step in the playoffs with a class 5A bi-district 56-13 win over San Antonio Sam Houston last night, making it the second bi-district title in a row. The Titans head into the area round against Austin McCallum, where and when still to be determined.

Brandon Tumlinson and Desmond Molina combined for 194 rushing yards, Tumlinson with 118 yards and 2 touchdowns. Senior Quarterback Bailey Zappe was 13 of 21 for 199 yards with 1 touchdown and no interceptions. The Titans scored on the ground 5 times, including a run by Zappe.
