Victoria Animal Control is hosting a pet adoption/shelter donation drive from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at PetSmart, 7812 N.E. Zac Lentz Parkway. Victoria Animal Control is devoted to finding homes for homeless pets and serving the county's citizens with all animal issues. According to the Victoria Advocate, all donations will be used for the Victoria City-County Animal Shelter and the homeless pets that are housed there.

The event will feature many puppies, kittens, dogs and cats available for adoption. Adoption fees range from $60 to $125. All animals are spayed or neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and tested for either heartworms or feline AIDS and feline leukemia.

Donations of dry dog and cat food, dog and cat bowls, dog and cat treats and toys and blankets or bathmats for bedding will be accepted.
