Veteran’s Day in Jackson County

A Veterans Day celebration dinner will be served at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Brackenridge Main Event Center in Edna; a stew dinner will be served for all military and their friends and family. A special ceremony with guest speaker, retired Master Sgt. Kristi Rogers, of the U.S. Air Force, will begin at 6 p.m. The Victoria Community Band will also perform. Fireworks will follow the celebration.

In Ganado, a Veterans Day field of honor will be erected with American flags dedicated to military servicemen and women. Taps will be played 8 p.m. Monday.
