There's good news for Calhoun County students interested in healthcare training!

The Victoria Advocate reports health care training courses are now available at Victoria College's Calhoun County Center. Courses include insurance coding, medical assisting, nurse aide for healthcare, and phlebotomy. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify. Call 361- 574-6415 for more information.

Insurance Coding meets from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 13, through Dec. 13 every Tuesday and Thursday. Those interested in the insurance coding class must attend a mandatory registration and orientation at 5 p.m Nov. 6, at the VC Calhoun County Center.

Medical Assisting meets from 5 to 9 p.m. from Sept. 18, through Nov. 8, each Tuesday and Thursday. Those interested in enrolling in the medical assisting course must attend the mandatory registration and orientation at 5 p.m. Sept. 11, at the VC Calhoun County Center.

Nurse Aide for Healthcare meets from 5 to 9 p.m. from Sept. 19, through Nov. 19, each Monday and Wednesday. Those interested in enrolling in the nurse aide training class should plan to attend the registration and orientation session at 5 p.m. Sept. 12, at the VC Calhoun County Center.

Phlebotomy meets from 5:30 to 8:45 p.m. from Nov. 5, through Dec. 9, 2013, each Monday and Wednesday. Those who are interested in the phlebotomy class should plan to attend the registration and orientation session on at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29, at the VC Calhoun County Center.
