VC, Victoria East Musicians Join For Jazz Concert Tonight

A jazz commercial concert performed by the VC Jazz Combo, VC Commercial Music Ensemble and Victoria East Jazz Band will be at 7 p.m. tonight in the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Victoria. The guest artist will be Aaron Boyd. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature the music of renowned jazz figures such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and others. "We are very excited to combine the talents of Victoria East High School and Victoria College to share this music with Crossroads residents," Jonathan Anderson, VC music professor and director of the VC Jazz Combo, told the Victoria Advocate.

Boyd graduated from Victoria College with an associate of arts degree in 2010 and began his company, APB Productions, where he works as a music instructor. He teaches guitar, piano and drums.
