Helping the community discover how Victoria College can help residents make more of their lives is the goal of the "Ask a Student" Fair at the Victoria Mall. The event, hosted by VC's Zeta Gamma Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, will be from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 21. PTK members and other student volunteers will work booths in the center court of the mall to share information about VC programs and services from the students' perspectives, reports the Victoria Advocate. They will visit with mall shoppers about how VC offers more than a university while also collecting data regarding the community's perceptions of VC.

The "Ask a Student" Fair will feature three booths: student services, financial aid and admissions and programs and degrees. There will also be a drawing of five $25 gift cards to mall stores, including J.C. Penney and Best Buy. Participants will be asked to fill out a survey to be entered in the drawing. VC's mascot, Captain Vic, will also be present to hand out candy canes and pencils. VC's Instrumentation, Physical Therapist Assistant and Nursing Programs will also be featured at the fair as well as the VC Treasures Dance Team and the Key Center.
