Victoria College's Academy of Lifelong Learning will host its spring open house 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the atrium of VC's Continuing Education Center. Coffee and refreshments will be served. The Academy of Lifelong Learning is a membership organization for active, mature adults ages 50 and older, offering classes and social activities for continued intellectual and personal growth. The academy provides participants the opportunity to engage in study, discussions and social interactions within a group of peers who share a common interest in learning. Activities also allow members to expand and share their knowledge while meeting new friends and forming new social networks.

Members will be able to register for 24 courses at the open house. There is a one-time membership fee of $50, which covers all classes through May. For the complete list of classes and more information on the Academy of Lifelong Learning, contact Olson at 361-582-2426 or email Destiny.Olson@VictoriaCollege.edu.

"We have some very interesting courses lined up this semester, and participants are excited to get started,"  Destiny Olson, VC's Lifelong Learning Program Specialist, told the Victoria Advocate. "With 24 topics to choose from this spring, we have something that appeals to just about everyone's taste."
