‘Twister’ Competition at Victoria Mall

Victoria's First Twister Competition will be at Victoria Mall, 7800 N. Navarro St., at 11 a.m. this Saturday. There is a $5  registration fee per person, $3  registration fee if combined with 3 nonperishable food items.

The event starts with a "Battle of the Media" competition. The age groups are: K-2 grade, 3-5 grade, 6-8 grade, 9-12 grade and adults. A champion will be named in each age division. Pre-registration begins Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Feb. 3 from noon to 3 p.m. as well as the morning of the event from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Victoria Mall in front of the Cookie Company area. All proceeds will benefit the Victoria Food Bank and P2P (People to People) Student Ambassadors.
