Tryouts for the Shiner Brewers This Weekend

Does your son enjoy playing baseball ? The Shiner Brewers are holding tryouts this weekend in Shiner on Saturday at the Shiner Starplex at 10am and Victoria at the CWV fields at 1:30 on Sunday. The next tryouts will be August 16th at 10am CWV fields in Victoria and August 17th at 1:30 in Shiner at the Shiner Starplex.  Tryouts are open to any and all high skilled player that is committed to the team concept, hard work and respect for the integrity of the game of baseball. The team is holding tryouts for anyone between 9-18 years of age.

The mission of Shiner Brewers is to provide an environment that enhances the growth, development and exposure opportunities for baseball players and to help our players create a path to a successful college or professional career.

The team is lead by coaches Kory Casto and Jarod Grubb. Kory Casto is a former major leaguer with the Washington Nationals, Detroit Tigers, and Arizona Diamondbacks. He was 3rd round draft pick and Nationals minor league player of the year in 2005 and 2006. Jarod Grubb played middle INF/CF for the Division I University of Portland Pilots. He was the head coach for the Glacier Twins Legion Baseball Team in Whitefish, MT in 2005-2006. Jarod is a former Boston Red Sox scout.
