Time For The Victoria Photography Club Competition

The Victoria Photography Club invites you to enter your best photos in their annual competition.

Entries will be accepted July 1-31. Entries may be dropped off from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday at H-E-B Plus Entertainment Center, 6101 N. Navarro St. or mailed to The Victoria Photography Club, Inc. c/o H-E-B Plus, 6101 N. Navarro St., Victoria, TX 77901. No mail entries will be accepted prior to July 1 or after July 30. Rules and entry forms can be found at the club's website, victoriaphotographyclub.com or contact the contest coordinator at contest@victoriaphotographyclub.com. Along with more than $1,500 in prize money and ribbons, the Best of Show will receive $125. The contest categories include animals/fauna, creative, landscape/scenic, miscellaneous, buildings and structures, birds, flowers/plants, macro (close up) and people/portraits.

The entry fee for adults is $6 per entry, and students are $3 per entry. The student division is open to students up to age 18 years or students in high school. On Aug. 4 a panel of three qualified judges will critique the entries based on technical merit and artistic impression. Photographs will be on exhibit at the Victoria Mall the week of Aug. 11-19.

The club is a non-profit, non-partisan organization whose purpose is to promote the love of photography.
