Looks like the end is near for the Dirt Drifters, who gave their fans of some disappointing news this week. Thursday (May 3) afternoon, the band posted a short note on their websites explaining that they are bowing down from all future musical commitments at this time.

“Hi all … we hate to disappoint you guys, especially after all the support you have given us over the past few years, but due to some private, personal issues we will not be going out on the road and will be canceling all upcoming shows and appearances,” the band wrote in a statement. “We apologize for any inconvenience to anyone who had plans to come see us this summer, you know there is nothing we love more than playing music and we will miss you. We cannot thank you enough for your support and for standing by us.”

The news comes just a couple of months after the release of the band’s latest single ‘There She Goes,’ from their debut album, ‘This Is My Blood,’ on Warner Bros. Nashville. Comprised of brothers Matt and Ryan Fleener, Jeff Middleton, Nick Diamond and Jeremy Little, the Dirt Drifters first became a fan favorite with their hit singles ‘Always a Reason’ and ‘Something Better.’

Here’s hoping this break away from touring is a temporary situation, because their absence will leave a big hole in the hearts of many country music fans.
