The Awards Shows Just Keep On Coming
It’s that time again! Time for the American Music Awards. Like the ‘Grammys’, these awards apply to all genres of music. I personally have a problem with ‘music awards’ shows. I think it’s like having an ‘art’ contest… but that’s another subject for another day. In the interest of time, I have only listed the ‘country music’ nominees below.
CMT Daily Roundup reports Taylor Swift and The Band Perry lead the country nominees for this year’s American Music Awards nominees with three each. Taylor gets a nod in the Artist of the Year all-genre category, while her Speak Now and TBP’s self-titled debut are both nominated for Country Album. Both artists are also nominated in their respective Country Female and Country Band/Duo/Group categories. Additionally, TBP are up for the Sprint New Artist Award.
