Taylor Swift Honored by Kennedy Family for Commitment to Social Change
Taylor Swift found herself amongst Kennedys once again on Monday night (Dec. 3), as she was honored by her ex-boyfriend's family at the Ripple of Hope Awards. The singer was given a Ripple of Hope trophy to recognize her commitment to social change through her music. She also performed at the event.
Even though Swift and Conor Kennedy broke up, she remains a favorite of the family. “Taylor is a friend of the family and still is,” Patrick Kennedy told Us Weekly. “To speak for my Aunt Ethel and the whole family, that friendship and her support for Robert Kennedy’s legacy is something that we’re very grateful for.”
Thankfully, there was no chance of an uncomfortable run-in with her ex at the awards show, as he is currently studying at Deerfield Academy. After the event, Swift was seen with her current rumored boyfriend, One Direction's Harry Styles. People reports that the two -- who were photographed hand-in-hand -- didn't get back to the hotel until 4AM after a night of karaoke.
One Direction was in New York City for a performance at Madison Square Garden. Swift was spotted with Styles on Saturday at the Central Park Zoo.
