Some songwriters depend on inspiration, others are more like craftsman. Either way, it is really hard to write quality songs day in and day out. One of my favorite quotes (and I can't remember who said it) is "you have your entire life to write your first album. You have 6 months to write the second one". That seems to be no problem for Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift talked with MTV recently about her new album, set for release later this year. The singer revealed she’s spent the last year writing like crazy and even when her bosses at her record label are happy and ready to take it to the studio, she keeps on writing. Taylor said she’s “going to work on it until [she] literally has zero time left to work on it.” Similar to her previous projects, love is also a major theme of this album, and Taylor admits that’s not likely to change anytime soon. In an interview with CMT Daily Roundup, Miss Swift said, “With my feelings and things that I discover through love and through loss—writing about that is the only way that I feel better about that.  And the only way that I get past it is when I’m standing onstage and I’m singing the words to that song, and I look down and someone is singing them back to me. ‘Cause it makes me feel like I’m not alone.” While prepping her new music, Taylor says she’s “trying to be as much of a sponge as possible, and evolve and try new things.”
