Guadalupe River Forecast at Victoria

The Guadalupe River forecast has been revised by the National Weather Service. The current river level is 29.42 feet with the river expected to crest at 30.1 feet early Thursday afternoon. “Tropical Disturbance” Headed For Victoria Area

From the Victoria Emergency Operations Center--A Hurricane Hunter airplane found a large wave of low pressure, so the system remains a tropical disturbance. However, Tropical Storm Bill may still form before making landfall along the Central Texas Coast sometime Tuesday. Tropical storm force winds up to 40mph are expected in the coastal region.

Victoria Generals Get Back in Win Column

Pitching was the key for the Victoria Generals, who edged the Acadiana Cane Cutters 2-1 yesterday.

Stuart Springer notched the victory, going 6 full innings, while Brett Burrington wrapped up the game in the final 3. Springer threw 5 shutout innings giving up just 3 hits, but in the 6th, it was errors that allowed the Cane Cutters their only run.
