			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>How would you react if a painting suddenly came to life? <a href="http://www.alexameade.com/portfolio.html">Alexa Meade</a>&#8216;s painted people look like works of art but move like humans &#8212; making for an eerie sight.</p>
<p>Whereas most artists would just paint their subjects on a canvas, Meade actually turns her subjects INTO the canvas. She creates life-size installations that are shockingly exact in their similarity to actual acrylic paintings. Upon first glance it&#8217;s almost impossible to tell that there are real people under all that paint.</p>
