Taste of Country Nights is a country radio show that broadcasts live from Nashville Monday through Friday evenings at 7pm on KIXS 108. Listen to our man in Nashville, Sam Alex, as he plays all of the country hits, gives you the country music news, interviews the stars and broadcasts in-studio performances with the hottest acts in country music.

"Texas Uh Ohs" is excited to announce the addition of their 6U and 8U teams. They will be looking to fill roster spots for both teams. Looking for girls born 2009 & 2010 for 6U and 2007 & 2008 for 8u. There will be an open practice/try out on Saturday August 29th in Port Lavaca from 9am-11am. Field location TBD.

Travis Tritt will be in Victoria to perform a fundraising concert to benefit the Victoria Symphony on Thursday, Sept. 10 at the Victoria Fine Arts Center beginning at 8 p.m. A Marietta, Ga. native, Travis Tritt is dubbed one of “The Class of ‘89,” which included Country music superstars Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Alan Jackson; all of whom dominated the charts in the early ‘90s.

Victoria College has opened a make-up session for new freshmen who plan to take credit classes this fall and were unable to attend previous Pirate Orientation sessions. The make-up session will take place from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21 at VC’s Main Campus.
