Following a long night out in his hometown of Vero Beach, Fla. on Cinco de Mayo — which ultimately ended with him being cuffed and detained by police — Jake Owen took to Twitter Sunday morning to apologize for the comments he made while he was worked up about the incident.
When we watched Jake Owen propose to now fiancee Lacey Buchanan spontaneously at a show in Vero Beach, Fla., the one little missing detail was the ring. Since Owen made a bit of a spur-of-the-moment decision to seal the deal with Buchanan in front of his hometown audience on April 7, he hadn’t quite had the time to go out and pick out the perfect rock. Now that he and his bride to be have had a few days to let the excitement settle and make some decisions, Owen is opening up and dishing on the details of the ring.
The lyrics to Jake Owen‘s new summertime single ‘The One That Got Away’ were easy to write for the Florida native, as he just pulled from a page from his own past, describing what it was like growing up in the sunshine and on the sandy beaches. Owen co-wrote the song with Jimmy Ritchey and 2011 BMI Songwriter of the Year, Peach Picker Dallas Davidson.
I couldn't believe what Jake Owen has for breakfast. They say that Wheaties is the breakfast of champions but I think this is the ultimate man's breakfast.

No matter how good you are, you don't make it by yourself in the country music business. It takes a lot of good people with a lot of good connections and a serious work ethic to make someone a "star" in this business. Tim McGraw is acutely aware of this.
