Here is a rundown of final scores from Friday Night Lights week 1, and there was some high drama at Memorial Stadium as the East Titans lose 64-63 in double overtime to Edinburg Vela.  In Bloomington a "rivalry" was reborn as the STJ Flyers paid a visit to Bobcat Stadium and won 20-14 after a fourth and goal line stand with 30 seconds remaining...

Week one of Friday night lights are in the books, and it was a good one for new Flyer head coach Mike Hall.  The Flyer's made the long trip to Bloomington to take on the Bobcats for the season opener for the fist time since 2001.  You could say this used to be like a "crosstown" rivalry game...

Next weekend Victoria East and West start their playoff runs.  They will both play in the Alamodome in San Antonio next Saturday afternoon.  West plays Laredo Nixon at noon, East plays Uvalde at 4pm.  Good luck to both Victoria teams...
