The Victoria Convention and Visitors Bureau is recruiting volunteers to help in several areas of the annual festival between Oct. 3 and 4 in downtown Victoria. There are many ways to get involved with Victoria's biggest free celebration.

County music lovers have much to look forward to in October when Bootfest takes over DeLeon Plaza in downtown Victoria. And for Tejano music lovers, Bootfest has expanded to include the music stylings of some of Texas' greatest Latino musicians.

Country music artist Jerrod Niemann will rock the main stage at Bootfest this year. "You don't get guys of his caliber in this town," Joel Novosad, communications and services manager with the Victoria Convention and Visitors Bureau, told the Victoria Advocate.

Students from Victoria College's music program return to the Bootfest stages to get entertainers ready to play this weekend. The college's sponsorship includes providing stagehands to help set up equipment and staging the scheduled performers.
