Surfs Up On A Jet!

That's right a jet powered or motorized surf board.  Now that's what I'm talking about.  I've always been interested in surfing but I have never ventured out into the deep blue to test my skills out.  I will be the first to say I would probably fail miserably.  Then again I'm always up for a good challenge.

With a motorized surf board you really don't need years of practise to be able to have a good surf.  The man that's shown in the video is actually a pro surfer by the name of Laird Hamilton, and he seems to be really enjoying himself on it.  Of course he is one of the first people to have one.  The only problem with this surfboard is the price.  $4,000 for one of these bad boys. 

Would you ever pay that much money for something like this.  You can get a jet ski for that, well probably used but still that's a lot of money.  I can definitely see these at resorts where you rent them by the hour.  Do you remember the water powered jet pack?  That thing is super cool but probably way too expensive.  Just wait a few years and I bet they will drop in price about 75%.  I still want to try this sometime as it really looks like a lot of fun.
