On this day in 2005, Jason Aldean released his self-titled debut album which included the singles, “Hicktown,” “Why” and “Amarillo Sky.” According to CMT Daily Roundup, since then, the project has  gone Platinum and he’s released three other albums, including his most recent, My Kinda Party. Before his first big record deal, Jason was a blue-collar worker at the local Pepsi plant, a job he had since he was 17-years old. Aldean said, “My friend that was workin’ there, you know was cool enough to uh…to kind of let me do that. You know, basically kind of let me work when I wanted to and he uh, he understood my situation. So, it was pretty cool and I worked there for a few years. But, I love Pepsi. You know, it’s cool. But, I think I drank so many of them that now I’m kind of over it and Coke’s my favorite!”

Currently, Jason is touring the country on his My Kinda Party tour.  Starting on August 1st, you'll have a chance to win a free trip for 2 to meet Jason Aldean AND see his 'My Kinda Party' tour.
