Show Your Support for the East Titan Baseball Team

Victoria, now is the time you should take a moment and realize what the East Titans Baseball Team has accomplished this year and still going strong! The team is now in the 4A Regional Final Series. A baseball team hasn't made it this far since 1986 when Stroman lost in the State Semi's. The East Titans are making history!

Since the Comal tournament the Titan team went 23-4. They have continually improved all season. Most importantly the Moody game brought on another level of intensity and focus. The East Titans have gained senior leadership along with the underclass man becoming veteran players. They faced adversity head on and succeeded. That is what Championship teams do, that is what winners do! A majority of this team has been together on the varsity level for 3 years. The Titan team plays for each other and there is always someone who steps up to lead the charge. This team is truly a Band of Brothers.

The Titans will be playing this weekend at San Marcos High School. The best of the three series will be played at 7:00pm this Friday, game two Saturday at 10am, with game three , if needed, 30 minutes after game two. San Marcos isn’t that far from Victoria so let’s show these boys how proud they have made their community by cheering them on in the stands.

If you didn't make it to Riverside Stadium last Saturday you missed out. Not only was the WIN a huge success but let me tell you I was moved by how the team had true sportsmanship. There are obviously some great lessons being taught to the young men of this team off the field. Another comment I heard from a spectator was look how all the boys stand at the fence cheering their teammates on. I have to say East Titans you should be proud of yourselves for the great character you show.

Congratulations to Kyle Craft, Mason Tipton, Cole Urban, and Trevor Brown for being chosen to play in the VC Chick fil A All Star Game!!!
