Shiner, Texas is well-known for its namesake brand of beers. But these days, Shiner can be proud of another great institution: the Shiner High School Comanches football team is headed to tonight's Class 1A, Division I state championship game to be played at AT&T Stadium (formerly Cowboys Stadium) in Arlington. If they emerge victorious, it will be thethird state title in the school's history. They last took the top honors in 2004, and previously in 1986. Fans of the team showed their support this past Tuesday by snapping up 395 adult tickets to the game. Students purchased another 200 tickets.

So, let's raise an ice-cold Shiner in honor of the red-hot Comanches! GO SHINER!
