Shiner Catholic Church Picnic Sunday

Shiner Catholic Church Annual Spring Picnic will be held at the Knights of Columbus Park in Shiner on Sunday, May 24. A motorcycle run will be held with registration beginning at 10:30 am. Dinner begins at 10:30 am until 2:00 pm with Shiner Picnic Stew, Fried Chicken, Sausage and trimmings, tea and dessert included. Drive thru plates to go from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at American Legion Hall on Hwy 90A East. All plates are $10.00. There will be lots of free music in the air conditioned hall beginning at 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with accordion music and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm by Shiner Hobos. Music outside the historic beer stand from 12:30 to 3:30 pm by Classic Top Hits by Vic and Beav and Chris Rybak from 3:30 pm to 6:30 p.m. Also music under the bingo pavilion will feature Los Kolaches from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The Emotions will play inside the air conditioned hall from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am Admission is free for ages 21 and over. A big country auction, country store, cake and plant wheels, bingo, arts and crafts, hamburgers, and lots of games for children, including water slide and moon walk, will be held throughout the day.
