‘Saddle Up for Alzheimers’ This Weekend

Thursday morning be listening to KIXS 108. Lacey Rosenquest will be in with Skeeter Nash to talk about the upcoming "Saddle Up for Alzheimers" weekend.

Saddle Up for Alzheimer's spans Aug. 16-18 at Edna's Brackenridge Main Event Center, 284 Brackenridge Parkway. Proceeds from the event benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

A ranch rodeo starts at 7 p.m. Aug. 16 and includes Mutton Bustin' for children age 10 and under, live music and a dance.
General admission is $5 that day, while admission to the dance is $15. Children age 10 and under get in free.

An all-day team roping event takes place Saturday, Aug. 17 and includes a silent auction. Admission is free.

Sunday includes an exhibition which begins at 10 a.m. and a barrel race, which kicks off at 2 p.m. Admission is also free that day. Concessions will be available all three days.
