Rockport Hosts Wine Festival

If you love fine wine and fun by the water, you're in luck this weekend. Just down the road in Rockport you'll have a chance to experience the world famous 'Rockport Wine Festival'.

The Rockport Wine Festival will offer more than 100 varieties of wines, food demonstrations, vendor booths and live music on the grounds of the Texas Maritime Museum. The Victoria Advocate reports there are also VIP packages.

The wines will be supplied by Texas companies Republic National Distributing Company and Braman Winery. Beer drinkers be not dismayed, you have a selection to whet your palette. "You don't have to leave the grounds you can get it all here," said Kathy Roberts-Douglass, CEO of the museum.

The festival takes place from 4-11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Texas Maritime Museum ,1202 Navigation Circle in Rockport. Admission is as follows; VIP $50, one day, $90, two days; General Admission, $20, one day; Children ages 12-21, $11. Under 12 are free.
