It's that time of the year - the Refugio County Fair and Rodeo is ready to lasso in some spectators. The show kicks off with a parade at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the corner of Commerce and Commons streets. Vendors, animals and other exhibits arrive Wednesday for judging and public viewing. At the top of this year's list is more than 100 vendors selling everything from food to arts and crafts, Jeremy Speis, vendor coordinator, told the Victoria Advocate. "We have every kind of food - Greek, Mexican, barbecue, corn dogs, funnel cakes. ... We even have an old-fashioned soda wagon coming in," he said.

Aside from vendors, of course, are numerous exhibitors showing their animals and other projects. The top animals will be sold at auction at 1 p.m. March 22. The carnival opens at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Musical performances by The Spazmatics and AJ Castillo are also planned, Speis said.
