It's time for the 24th annual Pescado Grande Fishing Tournament this weekend at the Port O'Connor Community Center Pavilion. The tournament benefits The Harbor Children's Alliance and Victim Center, a children's advocacy center, located in Port Lavaca. There are categories for bay and offshore teams with total prize pay outs of $7,500. There is also a Spot Pot, Triple Tail Pot and Texas Triple Threat Pot. Registration is $85 for each person. Children 12 and under are $50 each. Friday night activities include fishermen check-in, late registration,meal, captain's meeting, beer garden and Calcutta. Saturday - fishing begins at 4:30 a.m. and weigh in is from 4-6 p.m. at the Port O'Connor Community Center Pavilion. Saturday night events include tournament prizes awarded, silent auction winners, raffle drawing, beer garden and fish fry. Additional meal tickets for each night may be purchased for $6 each.
