Mr. And Mrs. Blake Shelton Produce New Neal McCoy Album

The country music business is just like any other business... everybody knows everybody else. That's why I'm never surprised by anything I read in the credits of anyone's cd. Neal McCoy was smart enough to employ the hottest couple in country music today.

Neal McCoy is back on the scene with a brand new album titled Twelve! It serves as Neal’s first record in seven years, and he decided to bring in country music’s finest to produce the album — Blake Shelton and his wife Miranda Lambert. Neal says Blake was shocked by the invitation! When speaking with CMT Daily Roundup, Neal said, “He cussed me out a couple of times on text when I asked him, ‘would you be interested in producing an album on me?’ Well, he just texted me back a bunch of cuss words. So I texted him back, and he texted me back a bunch of cuss words. [Laughs] So I finally called him and said, ‘I don’t know what kind of answer this is you’re giving me.’ And then he said, ‘You’re not serious…’ And I said, ‘No, I’m serious!’” Blake and Miranda are such big fans of Neal that they asked him to perform at their wedding reception last May. Neal’s Blake-and-Miranda-produced album Twelve is currently in stores.
