It's the age old question... what's real and what isn't? It's getting harder and harder to tell. Take reality television for example. Is there anything real about it? How real can it be with all of those cameras and lights around? And it's not just television. In entertainment in general, it's all about perception. Is pro wrestling real? Are those people on "Operation Repo" really that crazy? Is Gene Simmons really a womanizer? Is Miranda Lambert really that tough?

Miranda Lambert is known for her “you don’t want to mess with me” vibe, thanks to tunes likes “Gunpowder and Lead,” “Kerosene” and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” So, one of the highlights for her of stepping out and recording an album with her friends Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe as the Pistol Annies, is being able to reinvent herself. Miranda told CMT Daily Roundup, “I get to just kind of be a girl.  I don’t have to really be ‘the boss’ and kind of be that ‘Miranda Lambert’ character.  I get to play a character in a girl band when I’m with Pistols.  So, I definitely think that it comes natural.” Miranda will appear on NBC’s Dateline tonight with both her Pistol Annies cohorts and her husband, Blake Shelton. The special airs at 10PM Eastern.
