Metropolitan Planning Organization to Hold Open Meeting

The public is invited to voice their ideas and concerns for the community's transportation needs at a hearing at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 8th, at 700 Main Center, Room 204, in Victoria. The Metropolitan Planning Organization, which is overseen by Texas Department of Transportation, is preparing an update to the area's 25-year long-range transportation plan. A portion of the update includes a brief online survey on general transportation and another survey on Victoria Transit. The plan not only identifies transportation needs for the next 25 years but also establishes priorities for funding improvements and charts a course to meet the community's vision.
