Crossroads residents interested in Victoria agriculture or in joining the Victoria County Farmers Market are in luck. Information is on its way. The Victoria County Farmers Market will host its annual meeting at 1 p.m. Friday inside the 4-H Activity Center, 259 Bachelor Drive.

Tom Isakeit, a plant pathologist with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in College Station, is the event's keynote speaker, Market Manager Noah Thompson told the Victoria Advocate. Members will also use the meeting as a chance to elect new officers. The meeting is open to the public, Thompson said, noting the market hopes to bring on new members for the upcoming season. "It always helps to have more vendors," he said. "We're looking for new recruits."
