Martina Likes Hanging Out With George
In an earlier blog I made reference to George Strait and his phenomenal achievements in the field of country music. It just so happens that I ran across a little story about Martina McBride touring with George this year.
Martina McBride is very excited to be starting off the New Year out on the road with George Strait. One thing Martina is looking forward to most is hanging out with “King George.” According to CMT Daily Roundup, Martina said, “I don't know if he still does this but when we toured together before, there was a tent every night. You could go and hang out with him if you wanted to. He kind of likes to hang out, which I was surprised, and I took advantage of that. You know I'm thinking if I get to hang out with George Strait, I'm gonna do that. So, we’ve always just had a cool connection. I don’t know, I just really think he’s awesome.” Martina has toured with George before, but says this time the shows will be a little more intimate for the fans. George’s 2012 tour kicks off January 27th in Lafayette, Louisiana.
