Luke Bryan brought a dose of his signature buzz to afternoon TV while promoting his latest release. The country hitmaker and Ellen DeGeneres have a thing, since he's served as the red carpet correspondent at country awards shows a few times, bringing hilarious commentary to her show during those dripping-with-celebs events.

On Tuesday (March 5), Bryan took the stage at the gabfest, performing two songs: 'Buzzkill' and 'Drunk on You' as a means of promoting his new Spring Break-themed EP release, 'Spring Break… Here to Party.'

It was a clever little medley during which he performed a little more than half of 'Buzzkill' and closed it with a dose of 'Drunk on You.' Of course, the largely female crowd assembled at the studio to enjoy Bryan perform live and in the flesh was singing along and pointing at Bryan while he belted out the combined ballads. We bet they hoped LB was getting' drunk on them.

Bryan and Ellen hugged post-performance, since they have that "thing" and act like they are two old pals. If Bryan wasn't so good at what he does, musically speaking, he could totally get a gig as a field correspondent on the show. He has the sense of humor for it, as we'll surely see when he helps Blake Shelton host the 2013 ACMs in April.
