Lady Antebellum Inspired By Other Groups

Lady Antebellum took home the trophy for Top Country Artist at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night (5/20). The band was proud to represent country music, and can easily remember a few legendary bands that have influenced their career. The members of Lady A told CMT Daily Roundup, “Alabama, Rascal Flatts, Dixie Chicks. [Charles] For me I like the Eagles, and The Allman Brothers, you know, the band The Band. But yeah, there’s a lot of groups. I mean we love harmony driven music for sure.” Jason Aldean took home two awards during the Billboard Music Awards, including Top Country Album and the Top Country Song Award for “Dirt Road Anthem.” Actress Zooey Deschanel and Kris Kristofferson presented Taylor Swift with Billboard’s Woman of the Year.
