Kevin Fowler/Jarrod Birmingham Concert In Port O’Connor Nears

It's the summer concert season and , wow, do have a lot of them for you this year.

Coming up on Friday and Saturday, June 17th and 18th, at the Community Center Grounds in Port O'Connor, it's the Slam and Jam Fishing Tournament and Concert to benefit Warrior's Weekend. This is a fantastic weekend of fishing and music at one of Victoria's favorite coastal playgrounds, Port O'Connor.

First, there is a huge fishing tournament with over fifteen thousand dollars in pay-out. If you are a fisherman, you already know about the great fishing around Port O'Connor. For more information on how to get signed up, go to slam and jam.net.

Then there's the music. This year's great line-up starts Friday night at 7:30pm with the Zack Walther Band then Christen Sawyer. Saturday night is gonna be off the hook with Jarrod Birmingham and Kevin Fowler. Just twenty dollars at the gate gets you into BOTH nights of live music and dancing!

Warrior's Weekend is a family oriented event designed to help soldiers & their families participate in activities that take their minds off their grueling rehab & the struggles of their daily lives. Warrior's Weekend is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation & respect for those who volunteer to protect us & our country. Remember, ALL proceeds from Slam and Jam go to benefit Warrior's Weekend.
